ACE’s After School and Expanded Learning Programs

ACE offers after school and intersession programs at NO COST to all ACE middle school students.

After School Programs at ACE Empower, Esperanza and Inspire

ACE currently partners with the YMCA during the school year for After School programming.  Their After school programs provide a safe space for students to strengthen social and emotional skills, practice academic skills and increase language acquisition rates for English Learners.  The school day and the after school program combine for a total of nine hours each regular school day.

How To Register for our After School Program

All students in grades 5th - 8th grade can apply for the after school program.  If there are more applications  then spaces available, priority will be given to students who meet one of the following criteria;

  • Homeless youth
  • Foster youth,
  • Meet state income eligibility requirements,
  • English Learners

Students whose applications have been accepted will receive an invitation to register for the program.

After School Program Days and Hours of Operation

The After School program runs every day school is in session and begins from the time school ends to 6:00 pm. 

 

Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs

ACE also offers summer and intersession programs at NO COST to all ACE middle school students.   These Expanded Learning Opportunity Programs (ELOP) offer nine hours enrichment each day in session.  These programs are typically offered for thirty (30) 9 hour days during the summer recess at each of our middle school campuses.  There may also be some schools that may offer program days during the February or April school breaks.  

How To Register for our ELOP Offerings

All students in grades 5th - 8th grade can apply for the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program.  If there are more applications  then spaces available, priority will be given to students who are in 5th and 6th grade that meet one of the following criteria;

  • Homeless youth, 
  • Foster youth, 
  • Meet state income eligibility requirements, 
  • English Learners

Students whose applications have been accepted will receive an invitation to register for the program.  

While at our program, the students will be provided with a health breakfast and lunch daily.
